“15,000,000 kids have no place to go after school”
Grand Rapids Dreams/Mosaic Life has an extensive history of implementing and operating community youth programs. In 2003 Mosaic Life has begun or assumed responsibility for Home Work Club (formerly City Kids Urban Produce 2003) after operating Home Work club for the 2003 school year it became Math Club providing math tutoring at South East Academic Center. Mosaic Life also provided Kids Club Day Camp in summer 2003. Mosaic Life partnered with SEAC for a 5th grade reading challenge (SEAC winter 2007) Mosaic Life hosted the Master Arts Camp and a Media Camp in the summer 2006. Beyond the Corners (summer enrichment experience began in the summer of 2008 in partnership with Eastown Community Association.
Recently (summer 2010) Grand Rapids Dreams/Mosaic Life was awarded a grant to implement Real World Now (summer learning experience with middle schoolers) through the Believe to Become Initiative of the Devos Foundation.
This fall we added to our youth and education dream initiatives when we became a Schools of Hope provider
