Our purpose: Many Grand Rapids Public School elementary students are struggling in competency in math. Math Club serves GRPS elementary school students at South East Academic Center with after-school tutoring in math and general homework help in order that they will increase their math skills and improve their math test scores. to provide after school math tutoring at the South East Academic Center. This tutoring helps youth develop great math skills and focuses on aligning with the academic goals for GRPS students.
History:Math Club has been in operation since the fall of 2004 and has been growing and developing for several years first as a community service effort of Mosaic Life Church and now a dream initiative of Grand Rapids Dreams. We partner with the Calvin College Service Learning Center providing participants with positive relational mentors during the program hours.
